Aanndd we were back in Chicago! This time, we stayed right on Gold Coast at Hotel Indigo which meant that I walked A LOT and was able to get better acquainted with Chicago. It was a great opportunity to check out the bar scene and meet awesome people.
On one of our off days, we went to an afternoon Cubs Vs. Brewers game at Wrigley Field. It was a great day and we had great (cheap) seats. By the way, the Cubs got completely murdered but we still had loads of fun. After the game, we went to our favorite Wrigleyville joint: Sluggers!
Our first event in the Chicago area was the annual Lake Bluff Fourth of July Parade. It was my favorite event so far. We had a lot of fun and the people of Lake Bluff were so nice. They even bought us breakfast before the event. I <3 Lake Bluff!
Down side on Chicago: PARKING! It sucks. We had to move the "chase car" (the central team's Ford Escape) everyday from 4 PM-6:30 PM. It was not fun but I made it work.
FUNNY STORY: On one occasion, I ended up at this cute little park (below) while on a solo cruise in Chicago and I decided to prank Jac and Liam. I texted them that I got to the car a little after 4 and that it had been towed. They freaked out for a bit and then laughed it off. The next day, our chase car was actually towed and that was not so funny. It was frustrating but Liam and I handled it. The last half of the week was better and I loved it. Hope to see you again soon, Chicago!
