I really captured a great moment in this picture. Above you can see my "little" brother and my mom hugging each other after talking about how the lack of an immigration reform can affect both of them during a round table discussion with different members of the community and Minority Leader of the U.S House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. My family has always participated in events such as this as members of LUPE; however, the ones talking were always my mom, dad and myself. It is great seeing my brother, Josue, stepping up to the plate and not being nervous about speaking to the masses or very important people. I have come to learn that he is great at expressing himself. I feel very proud to hand him the title of spokesperson for the Aldape children as I leave.
