Melissa

This is Melissa Garza. She is my best friend for nine years now even though we met in kindergarten, roughly fifteen years ago! We have gone through so much since then: birthdays, elementary, UIL meets, sixth grade cliques, arguments, junior high awkwardness, TexPREP, high school, quinces, heartbreaks, falling in love, new friends, broken friendships, haters, drama, rumors, college, jobs, problems, existential crises, EVERYTHING! And I wouldn't have it any other way. We might not see each other or communicate daily, but when we do we make sure to catch each other up with everything. We can spend days talking and we have even mastered our own unique way of communicating that sometimes other people do not understand. We are, freakishly, good at being able to read each other. I love her so much and I know that if I did not have her in my life I would go insane! Thank you for everything, Mel. For being a friend, sister, therapist, cheerleader, nurse, comedian, diary, defender and cosmetologist. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
