"Oh, darling, don't you every grow up." - Taylor Swift |
A picture of my sister, Yira, at Sephora. I know this is such quotidian thing, especially for sixteen year-old girls with amazing eyeliner skills, but it is a little bittersweet for me. I am the older sister and it is so weird seeing my younger siblings towering over me or being better at applying makeup. In a way, I feel like a parent that is experiencing their children grow up. It makes me emotional and excited because I know they will do great things. I pray to God that I can be a positive example for them and learn from my mistakes.
