"After a girl is grown, her little brothers - now her protectors - seem like big brothers." - Terri Guillemets |
This handsome fellow above is my "little" brother, Josue Emmanuel. He is only 12-years-old and he is already four inches taller than me! Growing up, I had always wanted an older brother but now I realize that God's plan was way better. If I had an older brother, I would have had to put up with, perhaps, feeling left out or being beat up by a stronger, taller person. However, as the oldest sister, I am the one to get a little more respect and I get to be the one to"beat up" my brothers, playfully of course. However, this past year I have come to notice that, in a way, I treat Josue as if he were older than me. I have really enjoyed being Josue's mentor in things like football, dance, fashion, and chivalry and I appreciate when he helps me shop or style my outfits. Josue can be very nice and passive but you do not want to see him upset. Sometimes I feel like I am a little too strict with him. I expect a lot from him because I want him to be a gentleman who can excel in many different fields. Actually, from the looks of this pic I think I should get him into modeling lol.
